Numbers for doctors

Evidence Based Healthcare and Biostatistics for those who, as many doctors and health workers, hate numbers (thus the name of the blog). It aims to be a way to share ideas, resources, tools and training links, and a place to discuss specific health issues from an epidemiological perspective. Our desktop is a portrait of Karl Pearson (1857 - 1936), a prominent figure in Statistics and author of the book "The Grammar of Science" Please Share your comments!

I am an ENT surgeon enroled in the MSc in Evidence Based Healthcare, at the University of Oxford. I live in Oviedo (northern Spain), where I have my private practice (www.doctormaldonado.com). Although I am an otorhinolaringologist, I teach Research Methodology, Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Curso MIR Asturias, a private institution that trains doctors to sit for the Spanish national examination you must pass before you choose your specialty (it is called MIR, and it is a very tough exam). Well, I hope you like the blog! Miguel
